1 December 2020 — FORGIVING AND FORGETTING

1st of December today, Christmas really IS on its way.

PEACE AND GOODWILL TOWARDS ALL MANKIND.

‘ To bring Peace to the Earth, strive to make your own life Peaceful’.

FORGIVENESS is the order of the day. Our own lives will be far from peaceful if we hold grudges against people or life in general feeling ourselves to be ‘hard done by’ or unappreciated.

So WHO is it we individually need to forgive? What is it we need to FORGET thereby removing from the conscious mind those negative thoughts which arise on our remembering the situation thus creating turmoil within instead of peace?

As I have said many times before, the person whom we initially need to forgive is OURSELVES for not being PERFECT thereby removing any self guilt and thereby ceasing the chattering rational mind telling us that ‘we couldn’t help it, cos if ‘so and so’ hadn’t said or done ‘this’ or ‘that’, then we would not have needed to defend ourselves’.

Whilst I was having a minor procedure in the hospital yesterday which I was finding very uncomfortable,, the nurse kept telling me to breathe deeply and that, perhaps, is what we need to do when we feel anger arising within us.

IT MAY HELP TO ASK OURSELVES: WHO IS SUFFERING THE MOST?

Is it The Person to whom our anger is directed or Our ‘selves’? Our angry energy DOES affect the former I have no doubt about that, but it also affects us adversely as it takes away our INNER PEACE.

Fundamentally CHRISTMAS is all about LOVE — IF WE ARE ABLE TO LOVE OURSELVES THEN WE ARE ABLE TO LOVE OTHERS.
