1 June 2020 — TRUTH, RIGHTEOUSNESS, MORALITY

The beginning of another month and I am heading this blog with qualities which I would like to think I practice in my day to day living and of which Sri Sathya Sai Baba said not being able to put them into practice is the greatest sin.

Yes, I would claim to be TRUTHFUL but I am afraid that sometimes I am not always honest to myself. Sometimes when I have the feeling that I have spoken and acted in ways which I feel are not 100% honest, truthful or kind I make excuses to myself that I couldn’t help it. As for acting in a moral way — knowing the distinction between RIGHT and WRONG behaviour — I would trust that this comes naturally to me. RIGHTEOUSNESS would seem to include the meanings of Truth and Morality but perhaps on a deeper more heartfelt level.

I do believe that when we are able to truly love and accept ourselves ‘warts and all’ then we naturally act from Truth, Righteousness and Morality but at the moment I feel it is work in progress for me!
