11 June 2021 — STAYING IN THE MOMENT
When we are able to do this, we really have no problems. It is not easy to do but the rewards are GREAT. It is only when we are able to STAY IN THE MOMENT that the POINT OF POWER becomes ours as we allow our feelings to rise and fall and are not pondering the ‘whys’, ‘the wherefores’ and the ‘what ifs’.
When we allow our minds to go over and over a matter we create a barrier to love and inner peace unless of course our minds are contemplating on how lucky we are!
In the scheme of things it is likely that at some time or another we are likely to upset other people without meaning to. In the book The Fifth Agreement by the Don Miguel Ruiz and Don Jose Ruiz their second agreement is ‘DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY’. What good advice this is as we know from our own experience that when other people upset us it is usually because we are feeling angry, unhappy and unsure within ourselves and we project our feelings on to them. It is more than likely that the same applies to the people who decide to take offence at what we say. SO, when we are upset at others it is more than likely OUR PROBLEM, and when others are upset with us it is more than likely THEIR PROBLEM>
