14 March 2022 — LYING BACK IN THE ARMCHAIR OF THE UNIVERSE

This is a saying which it seems I have been aware of forever! I find it a delightful and heartening concept. Perhaps it is just another way of saying ‘let it all hang out’ but a much more poetic and imaginative way!

Basically it means stop trying to be in control and manage things in our lives and trust to the Universe/God etc.

Many circumstances in which we find ourselves are indeed Karma — the results of past actions. But, whatever happens to us, whether or not it is what we wanted to happen, if we just accept the situation and refuse to worry or panic about it, my experience is that everything usually does work out in a way which allows us to understand what we needed to learn and to move on without worry or stress.

PONDER POINTS: on reading this I felt…..my thoughts on reading the above are …I do not agree with the ideas represent here because ….I think I would say I do lie back in the Armchair of the Universe because …
