We often say ‘in an ideal world this or that would happen’ indicating that we are not happy with things as they are.

‘Idealism’ is the philosophical view that reality is equivalent to mind. spirit or consciousness, or, that knowledge is based on mental structures.

As I walk around locally there are many, many people begging for money in order that they might spend the night in a hostel or buy food, or both. I find this very upsetting that they need to do this rather than being funded by the State or even assigned a social worker who would explore their situation, help them to change it and find a job. In other words someone whom ideally would help them to solve their problems.

I am of the opinion that all people want a job if only to make them independent and NOT reliant on the State or others.
