‘LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS. IT’S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN’. (source unknown -taken from the book ‘BELIVE AND ACHIEVE)

A lovely concept often our conditioning makes it not so easy for us to DANCE IN THE RAIN, however, there is no other positive choice to make.

Dancing in the rain perhaps, means reminding ourselves that everything changes and nothing lasts forever and recalling all the things in our lives for which we have to be grateful.

As children, of course, most of us loved splashing (dancing) in puddles unconcerned about making our clothes and ourselves wet, UNTIL, OF COURSE, some adult reprimanded us and told us that we would make our clothes wet, catch a cold etc. thereby taking our joy away and conditioning us into looking on the negative side of life!

Only the other day, however, I saw a father standing by smiling as his children were doing just that = splashing in puddles and really enjoying seeing his children have fun. And I congratulated him for allowing them to do it. I wonder how many passers by made negative comments to themselves!!

PONDER POINTS: on reading this I felt…my thoughts on reading this are….what I feel about seeing children splashing in puddles is…what I think about parents who allow their children to do this is….I feel it is important for children to have fun and not to be a critical parent because…
