16 February 2022 — LOVE LOVE LOVE

A title I seem to be using a lot just lately. probably because I need to keep reminding myself to do just that — love everybody.

Some people are very easy to love and some situations easy to accept. However, I am finding that those people and situations I have gotten into the habit of grumbling about to myself are harder to love and accept.

I was brought up with the saying ‘THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO I’ but it is sometimes easy to forget that. The modern form of this saying, for me, involves karma — ie knowing that our thoughts, words and deeds will come back to us: or ‘what goes around comes around’.

I do wonder that in the days when I cycled everywhere whether I totally disregarded pedestrians. I do remember once being shouted at by a policeman because I was cycling on the pavement.

Oh those were the days!! Today it seems to me that pedestrians come at the bottom of the pile, after cyclists, skateboarders and people on scooters.

How very hard I do find it to send love to these fellow users of the sidewalk when they whisk past me on every kind of path and pavement, not only those divided into two lanes —one for pedestrians and one for cyclists.

And yet i know that the problem is mine and i must learn to be moe tolerant and accepting and learn to LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone.

PONDER POINTS: on reading the above I felt ….my thoughts on reading this blog are….. people whom I find it hard to love and not criticise are …situations which really annoy me are ….
