16 November 2020 — GIVING WITHOUT COUNTING THE COST

This blog refers back to the one I wrote on 29 September with the same title. I am, however, inspired to write again on this subject because today I have been reminded once again how difficult I find doing this because the mind indulges itself in going over and over the situation and pointing out the ‘loss’ I have seemingly endured.

WHY I ask myself am I unable to give freely and joyfully? And, of course, the answer lies in the fact that we have two sides of the brain — our instinctive intuitive side which knows that we are NOT THE FORM OF THE BODY and THE RATIONAL EGO SIDE which identifies our SELF as being the FORM OF THE BODY.

The answer, of course, lies in BALANCE. In this case balance between the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere of our brains of which I have written about in many previous blogs. This occurs at moments such as when we find ourselves overwhelmed by a beautiful view, a piece of music etc etc. With the ego self — I am this person who does ‘this’ or does ‘that’ = out of the way,’ then ‘giving’ in its purest sense is taking place ie ‘GIVING’ as an action without any ‘ONE’ to own it.

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
