18 August 2022 — NOT TAKING THINGS PERSONALLY

Sometimes not taking things personally is not that easy to do as we tend to relate everything back to ourselves!

Yesterday we had a guy from a firm of contractors doing some work for us and he simply came and went! We, of course let him in but some time later when I looked to see where he was he was nowhere to be found. He had obviously finished his work and left.

Of course there was no reason for him to contact us before he left as we weren’t paying him. However, I felt a little upset that he had just gone without telling us as I found his actions rude and inconsiderate and at first wondered if it was something about me which had upset him. But then I realised that his actions were probably nothing to do with me and simply the way he was and the way he was used to acting.

Why indeed do I have a tendency to take things personally?
