‘WHAT ONE MEETS IN LIFE IS DESTINY. HOW ONE MEETS IT IS SELF EFFORT.’ Sri Sathya Sai Baba
A sobering thought!
Karma is the key!
In the West the concept of REINCARNATION is not as widespread as it is in the East. Too often when things happen to us we refuse to take responsibility and look for someone to blame and sometimes, of course we beat ourselves up. This leads us back TO THE POINT OF POWER BEING OURS IN THE MOMENT.
How we react is OUR CHOICE. ‘What’s done is done’ the saying goes. Today something happened which I found upsetting and after indulging in feeling sorry for myself I then asked myself in writing, the questions: ‘Why did I attract this incident?’ and ‘What do I have to learn from it?’ As our brains have two hemispheres I find that this question needs writing and answering: firstly with the dominant hand and secondly with the non-dominant hand, whilst placing our attention on the Solar Plexus. This is the area which when we first hear shocking news feels very very uncomfortable until we attempt to escape from our feelings there and transfer our energy to the rational thinking monkey mind! In this way, writing with both hands (even if we are unable to read the non dominant hand’s contribution) we are acknowledging both hemispheres of the brain and hence able to view the situation in its totality.
This process of writing with both hands brought me understanding and acceptance and allowed me to MOVE ON, or appropo yesterday’s blog TO ‘BIN’ the rational mind’s habitual patterning of going OVER and OVER the matter.
So after indulging the Rational Mind in it’s habit patterning of mulling things over and causing myself discomfort I gained enough self presence to DEAL WITH THE SITUATION IN A POSITIVE AND HELPFUL WAY thereby solving my problem and restoring my inner peace.
WHAT ONE MEETS IN LIFE IS DESTINY. HOW ONE MEETS IT IS SELF EFFORT.
