2 March 2022 — WALKING THROUGH THE WORLD HARMESSLY

One of my favourite topics inspired by the amount of litter I came across today especially in the toilets of one supermarket.

WHY WHY WHY do people drop litter? Of course NOT all people DO drop litter, one could say it was a ‘class thing’.

But how things have changed since I was little. We were brought up in the ‘olden days’ (as one of my granddaughters refers to my past) to not drop litter. Indeed it would just not occur to us to do so.

The concept of ‘walking through the world harmlessly’ was one which I believe we all did naturally in those days — cleared up after ourselves, didn’t drop litter or disturb the natural surroundings.

Today life is so much different. Many people glued to their earphones don’t even notice their surroundings and hide their feelings through listening to music so if they did notice they would have little reaction I feel.

How many people today DON’T WALK THROUGH THE WORLD HARMLESSLY AND LEAVE SIGNS OF THEIR HAVING PASEED THROUGH?
