And immediately denial sets in and the question arises WHY WOULD WE WISH TO DO THAT?

WHY? WHY? WHY? The answer could be because the rational mind needs struggle to exist. Strange though it may seem, there is a part of all of us which feels uneasy when things seem to be going right because of a lack of trust and of a habit pattern of expecting the worst. Perhaps in our hearts we feel we don’t deserve the best.

I quote from The Still Voice - A White Eagle Book of Mediation: ‘HAVE NO FEAR. You should be joyful, my dear ones, even in the face of difficulties, knowing that these mean that you have arrived at the point where you can clear away your karma. Sorrow, trouble, loss. — these are not cruelly inflicted upon you by an avenging God; they are just the working out of divine law and an opportunity for you to take the net step forward on your path. …Therefore we say accept and be thankful for your life’.

The point I am making here is that life will throw difficulties in our way but WE CREATE OUR REALITY THROUGH OUR RATIONAL MINDS so if in the first place, we are able to see the struggle as our creating suffering, and in the second place take White Eagle’s advice that sorrow, trouble, loss are preparing us for the next step forward on the path of our life, then we can maintain inner peace through trusting that all will come well in the end and not be victims of our rational minds.
