21 December 2022 — CHRISTMAS TIME

A time when people are cheerful and happy on the surface but a very difficult time for many!

A difficult time for some because of people who are no longer with us. In my own case my Mother died on Christmas Day. This, of course, doesn’t take away from all the happy Christmases I have enjoyed and it doesn’t stop me enjoying Christmas time.

The reason Christmas is sometimes tinged with sadness may be because of our expectations of it being a magical time when good things happen which aren’t always fulfilled.

Perhaps the answer is to be aware of the spiritual meaning of Christmas — CHRIST MASS. Christmas Day is, of course, celebrated because of the birth of Jesus Christ who brought love and the knowledge that we are all a part of Christ into the world.

SELFLESSNESS instead of SELFISHNESS is the ORDER OF THE DAY.
