21 March 2020 —MAINTAINING INNER PEACE DESPITE THE WORRY, WORRY. WORRY OF THE WORLD.

How difficult it is NOT to get caught up with the worry about a certain virus! Carl Gustav Jung created the concept of ‘The Collective Unconscious’ which refers to structures of the Unconscious Mind which are shared among beings of the same species. And it would appear that at the moment the COLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUS of the world is consumed by fear and worry. Worrying and frightening it might be, but whilst our conscious minds are consumed with this worry about the Coronavirus we are tending to forget our personal problems and on one level, our minds are being fed the excitement they crave.

FEAR AND EXCITEMENT have tended to replace inner peace, calmness and LOVE and TRUST IN THE UNIVERSE. The question to ask is ‘WHAT DOES WORRY ACHIEVE?’ and the answer to that is NOTHING CONCRETE other than giving our minds something to fasten on.

Perhaps if when our minds are racing with fear and worry about the virus we would see our thoughts as ‘butterflies’ and imagine those ‘butterflies going down through our bodies, from our heads to our necks, chests and into our Solar Plexus and feel the fluttering feelings there we would reclaim our INNER PEACE and see things in perspective.

FOR AFTER ALL, WORRY WORRY WORRY creates only FLURRY and that gets us nowhere other than to compound THE WORRY.

THE POINT OF POWER IS NOW AND WHEN WE USE OUR ENERGY IN WORRYING WE LOSE OUR CAPACITY TO LOVE AND ACCEPT OURSELVES AS WE ARE AND TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION POSITIVELY.

INDEED TO EASE THE SITUATION WE MAY BE TEMPTED TO EMBARK OF OUR TRIED AND TESTED HABIT PATTERNS WHICH TAKE US AWAY FROM THE MOMENT.

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
