21 November 2018 — IF YOU ARE NOT LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE YOU ARE TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE (Eli Sweeting)
So what does ‘living life on the edge’ mean? Not taking our self too seriously? Not making ourselves ‘heavy’ with regret, unfulfilled desires or anger? etc
LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE as I see it means embracing the opportunities which come our way and dealing with them in the best way that we can instead of knocking ourselves over the head to live up to how we believe others — parents, family, friends, society etc expect us to behave. And it means accepting ourselves as we are in every moment and NOT knocking ourselves over the head because we don’t believe we are good enough. Good enough for whom? Who is it we are trying to please? Whose voice are we hearing in our heads? Is this voice bringing us inner peace and contentment or self hatred and discontent? The answer lies purely within our ‘selves’.
IF WE DON’T LOVE OURSELVES HOW CAN WE EXPECT ANYONE ELSE TO LOVE US? And when we are able to love ourselves we do not take up too much space by inflicting our heavy vibrations on to others. When we feel happy with who we are then, we can be said to be LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE,.
