22 January 2022 — THE PRESENT IS A GIFT

Yesterday a friend was quoting the following to me: THE PAST IS HISTORY, THE FUTURE IS A MYSTERY, THE PRESENT IS A GIFT. She didn’t know the origin of the saying.

A very wise saying which is in effect suggesting that we stay in the present and be grateful for what we are experiencing in the moment, knowing that everything will pass and to bemoan the past or wish for specific things in the future is a waste of effort.

KARMA IS ALL and whatever WILL BE WILL BE according to our past thoughts and actions.

GRATITUDE — We all have something to be grateful for in the present moment — even if for some of us it is hard to discover what. Perhaps we are poor and homeless but are we healthy? Do we experience kindness from people? Have we bonded with at least one other person in the same circumstances? Have we someone helping us to find accommodation?

PONDER POINTS: On reading the above I felt….on reading the above my thoughts were …… what I am grateful for is….. hard as things are at the moment I feel that things could be much worse if ….
