22 September 2022 — WALKING THROUGH THE WORLD HARMLESSLY

There was a time, back in the ‘olden days’ (which one of my granddaughters refers to as the time when I was her age) when dropping litter or not clearing up behind yourself WAS JUST NOT DONE.

This time had its drawbacks, of course, as other assumptions were that a woman’s place was in the home and women were just not expected to have careers. Fortunately women did not take this assumption on board and fought against it.

Why dropping litter and not clearing up after one’s self became ‘the norm’ I’m really not sure. The mentality of people who DO drop litter and WHO DO NOT clear up after themselves is very often that people are paid to do it, whether they be street cleaners or workers in cafes.

AND HERE PERHAPS, we may refer to yesterday’s Blog entitled ‘Self Esteem — Energy is All’ as I would suggest that people WHO DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE WORLD HARMLESSLY are very low in self esteem and it makes them feel important when they drop litter or leave others to clear up after them even when the understanding in the café is that one disposes of one’s plates and leftover food in the area provided.

PONDER POINTS: on reading this I felt …my thoughts upon reading this were …. I think clearing up after one’s self is important because.. I think it is not necessary to clear up after one’s self because….
