23 July 2020 =PAST PRESENT FUTURE

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (The Buddha)

I have no inclination to dwell in the past BUT I am finding concentrating on the present moment very difficult at the moment. This is because tomorrow I am going into hosital for a minor operation; so I am wasting today by being nervous and apprehensive instead of embracing the day and enjoying it.

It is totally absurd to spoil the present moment through thinking about tomorrow. All the preparations have been made and practically I am ready for tomorrow. But, obviously NOT quite emotionally ready . The absurdity of worrying about the future lies in the fact that ALL THE WORRY IN THE WORLD WILL NOT CHANGE THE SITUATION but it might quite well affect the OUTCOME as through worry we tend to imagine the worst scenarios happening and as I suggested in yesterday’s blog ‘Nothing is right or wrong but thinking makes it so’. AND as i’m fond of saying ‘OUR THOUGHTS CREATE OUR REALITY’.

The most positive way to deal with anxiety and worry is simply to offer it up to our intuitive wise sides, to the Universe, to God, and to trust that ALL WILL BE WELL whilst at the same time seeing everything as going well in our mind’s eye.

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
