23 October 2022 — WHEN LIFE GETS TOUGH THE TOUGH GET GOING

The above phrase is attributed to Joseph F. Kennedy, (President J. F. Kennedy’s father and also to Knute Rockie (Norwegian born American football player).

I have been aware of this phrase for a very long time without knowing from where it originated. It is in my mind today because life IS TOUGH for me at the moment since being knocked to the ground by a guy on a scooter on 20th October. I cannot move around without a experiencing a lot of pain.

But giving into it, feeling sorry for myself or being angry at the scooter guy is most certainly NOT the answer.

At the moment I am trying to ‘grin and bear it’ and remember my philosophy that we attract things into our lives for a reason and to discover what the reason was? I did stay in to rest my aching body but have also given in to my desire to go out.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE, however, I have a picture of me taken a few years ago wearing a jacket which has on it ‘When life gets tough and things get tragic have a spliff it’s f…. magic.’!! The inference here is opposite to the TOUGH GETTING GOING I feel!!

Ponder Points: On reading the above I felt….my thoughts on reading the above are….
