24 December 2019 — It’s Arrived!! Goodwill to Mankind

Christmas Eve with Christmas Day to follow. The anticipation is great — perhaps only the imminent arrival of a special birthday or a wedding surpasses the anticipation around Christmas. And how many times in the run up to Christmas do we find ourselves using it as an excuse to partake of or do something we feel slightly guilty or uneasy about with the words ‘oh go on it’s Christmas’? In my case eating far too much!

When talking to others about Christmas I have found that one of the reasons it is welcomed and looked forward to with such delight is that for many families it is the reason that family members travel long distances to spend the time together with family members they rarely see. Their joy in these cases I feel privileged to participate in.

The message of Christmas is of course, Goodwill to Mankind. I find that at Christmas we can retain The Point of Power simply by sending’ goodwill ’ to ourselves and not allowing fears, worries, expectations and desires to get in the way. By shedding our fears worries etc we are then able to sparkle with love and joy — the love and joy which lies deep inside all of us.
