24 March 2020 — IT’S ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN

Well, we seem to be going through a very dark night. Strict instructions from our Prime Minister to SELF ISOLATE and to go out only for exercise, essential shopping, to the pharmacy etc.

NOT DIFFICULT FOR THOSE PRONE TO DEPRESSION AND WORRY to be upset. BUT THE OLD SONG gives good advice:

‘SOME THINGS IN LIFE ARE BAD/THEY CAN REALLY MAKE YOU MAD/OTHER THINGS JUST MAKE YOU SWEAR AND CURSE/WHEN YOU’R CHEWING ON LIFE’S GRISTLE/DON’T GRUMBLE GIVE A WHISTLE/AND THIS WILL HELP THINGS TURN OUT FOR THE BEST./ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE/ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE

But the main problem I feel is the change which has come about in our lives because of the virus and of course the fear that some people who catch it die from it. Well, if we are gonna die, and I doubt it very much, elderly or not, much better to go out laughing and happy and grateful for the life we’ve had. Personally I think it is very defeatist to proclaim how many days we are behind Italy, and there are certainly factors concerning Italy which do not apply to us.

SOoooo ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
