I devote this blog to a quote by the Dalai Lama which reads: ‘If a problem is fixable …then there is no need to worry, if it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying.’

I experienced joy and happiness as I read this and the feeling of how true it was: how much sense it made. BUT shortly afterwards I found myself worrying about something until I recalled this quote and I have resolved to keep repeating it to myself.

Today I was with a friend, who is on sick leave, when he bumped into someone from work. Unfortunately, the friend from work talked incessantly about the problems at work with specific reference to those which may affect the person I was with. Why he would do this I have no idea. Perhaps because it took him away from his own problems. Fortunately my friend was strong enough to make the decision to not worry and to assess the situation when he returns to work.

PONDER POINTS: on reading this I felt …my thoughts were ….I feel that in the past I may have tried to mitigate my own problems by transferring my worries on to others when ….
