26 December 2022 — ENJOYING CHRISTMAS TIME

Are we? Did some of us have expectations which weren’t realised? Have some of us received bad news? — it can happen around Christmas time. Are others of us simply using ‘Christmas Time’ as an excuse to indulge ourselves in order to escape reality? And for many of us there is sadness around this time because of the people who are no longer here to celebrate it with us.

Hopefully, most of us are enjoying Christmas, meeting up with friends and family able to forget our worries and troubles in the joy of being with the people we love.

It is good, however, to bear in mind that joy and sadness often go hand in hand and to brace ourselves for whatever feelings come to the surface
