26 July 2020 — SAVED BY THE BELL!

In this case ‘the Bell’ was a very kind woman who saved me from feeling dejected and lonely and indeed made my stay in hospital a very pleasant one.

How important it is to remain in good spirits and to ‘look on the bight side of life’. My stay in hospital will be remembered fondly in my mind purely because of the fun I shared with my new friend. Her stay in hospital was a much longer one than mine and her condition more serious and yet she remained upbeat.

I certainly felt ashamed of my attitude of thinking it was the end of the world. I am not through the woods yet but through taking a leaf from her book I will walk through them confidently and keep the end in mind knowing that I will reach it soon. Indeed, I will reach it sooner than later if I am patient and don’t indulge in depressive, anxious thoughts.

AND in future I will remember how much one’s own attitude can affect others and will certainly endeavour to affect others by my positivity and not my negativity.
