27 May 2021 — DUALITY — THE MYTH WE LIVE BY

‘The Notion of a separate organism is clearly an abstraction, as is also its boundary. Underlying all this is unbroken wholeness even though our civilisation has developed in such a way as to strongly emphasise the separation into parts.’ (David Baum: The Undivided Universe: an Ontological Interpretation of Quantum Theory.)

We believe ourselves to be ‘this person who likes this …. and doesn’t like that’ etc etc and thereby SEPARATE from everyone and everything else. To state that we are indeed ALL ONE ENTITY is to invite derision and mockery. However, that is clearly what David Baum is saying. ‘UNBROKEN WHOLENESS’ lies beneath.

The way in which I express this concept of ‘unbroken wholeness’ is to say that we are FORMLESS energy and NOT the FORM of the body. If we were aware in our everyday lives and in our relationships with others that the ‘other’ is truly us, perhaps we might be more tolerant, forbearing and forgiving.

The idea of ’Unbroken wholeness’ is not a new idea as it was expressed by Einstein in the formula Energy equal Mass squared by the speed of light.

If only … if only ..we were aware of this and conscious that how we treat others is how we treat ourselves. There is no vengeful God above us handing out punishments to us we simply attract back to us that which we give out to others.
