‘LIFE IS A BRIDGE ACROSS THE OCEAN OF CHANGE — PASS OVER IT, BUT DO NOT BUILD A HOUSE ON IT. (Sri Sathya Sai Baba)

I remind myself, AND blog about this subject very often BUT how easy I find it to build a house rather than to cross over.

And how do we build a house on the Ocean of Change? By going over and over the same things in our minds: holding grudges against people and by sticking to what we know instead of taking the plunge into the new.

Whilst there are many people anxious to move forward and gain promotion, I also know of many others who prefer to stay in the same position and decline responsibility which comes from promotion. Whilst neither of those situations apply to me because I do not work, I certainly prefer to stay in the same position and refuse to use the talents I do have which would take me into new territory.

And so I’ build houses on the BRIDGE OF LIFE’ rather than crossing over the ‘OCEAN OF CHANGE.’

WHY? WHY? WHY? am I so frightened of crossing over into the new. What is it I have to lose? And the answer to that I do not know in the present moment.
