5 December 2018 — Continuing The Theme of LIGHT

In the Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz tells the story of the Toltec scientists and artists who came together thousands of years ago at the ancient city of pyramids outside Mexico City known as the place where ‘Man Becomes God’. In his book he recounts the experience of a human ‘just like you or me’ who felt that there must be something more than the knowledge passed down by his ancestors. This person had an out of body experience which drew him to the conclusion that ‘EVERYTHING IS MADE OF LIGHT AND MADE OF LIGHT AND THE SPACE IN BETWEEN IS NOT EMPTY.’ In that moment he knew that everything that exists is one living being and that LIGHT is the messenger of LIFE, because it is alive and contains all information. And with this realisation he understood that we are all part of the whole — IN REALITY THERE IS NO DUALITY. It is we humans who create the VIRTUAL REALITY in which we believe by seeing our ‘selves’ and everything that exists as separate from one another. It is my belief that we are born with both brain hemispheres balanced aware of our connection to ALL THAT IS -in effect to GOD whom I see being a part of each individual and NOT outside.

But today, individually, we do not see ourselves as being LIGHT and connected to ALL THAT IS. Love, steadfastness, compassion, forbearance, forgiveness, acceptance, endurance, tolerance, good will towards others, joy for others’ good fortune, etc sometimes seem far away, substituted by anger, jealousy, resentment etc.

PONDER POINTS: The people who light up my life are ….. the people whose life I feel I light up are ….darkness tends to cover over my light when ….I feel fear of being in the light when ……. The darkness of anger, desire, guilt, jealousy, resentment arises when…..
