5 October 2019 — Patience, Love, Tolerance

I’ve found myself lacking in these qualities today. I do have a tendency to want things to ‘happen yesterday’ as it were, and, I have found myself becoming irritable with some people who were ‘bending my ear’ and not getting to the point.

Tolerance of course begins with one’s self and when we are not happy to accept ourselves as we are but feel we ‘ought to be’ more ‘this’ or more ‘that’ we project those feelings on to others.

So, WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS STATE OF MIND — CHANGE IT of course, but HOW DO WE CHANGE IT.

By LOVING ONE’S SELF. Often, when we are critical and impatient with our ‘selves’ we are simply recreating past situations from when we were younger and criticised by parents, teachers and adults generally, When we are able to be aware of this we are able to love our ‘selves’ WARTS AND ALL and be PATIENT simply by accepting that in time the circumstances in our lives will change, we will change. Moreover, the awareness will come to us, that like everyone else we are NOT PERFECT and that is the way of life. When we can accept our ‘selves’ as we are, then we are more likely to be able to be tolerant towards ourselves and are less likely to blame others.

So, I need to alter my negative mental attitude through being patient with myself. Tolerant of what I see as my faults and Love myself warts and all.

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
