6 July 2020 — DOING THINGS THE ‘RIGHT’ WAY

This morning crawling out of bed extra early, I inadvertently put an item of clothing on back to front and then felt very uncomfortable until I rectified the situation.

This started me reflecting that there is always a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way for dealing with every situation in which we find ourselves. Situations like people being rude to us or upsetting us in some way through what they say or do or, don’t say or do. Or, situations where our expectations of what will happen remain unfulfilled.

In many situations the advice to count to ten or take a deep breath before responding is positive and helpful as this will allow the waves of anger to rise and fall and allow us to take stock of the situation. In this way we put ourselves into the correct disposition to tackle the situation with wisdom as well as preventing ourselves from feeling annoyed and apprehensive at being in this potentially uncomfortable position allowing us to remain peaceful knowing THAT THE POINT OF POWER IS OURS.

Barbara Thorne: The Point of Power is Now

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
