Alongside this is another phrase — Hope Springs Eternal.

The ‘Life is what you make it, so make it good’ saying is encouraging us to act whilst Hope Springs Eternal is putting one’s faith in providence.

What is it we wish would come true? How would we like our lives to be?

How many of us, I wonder, pray? — pray that what we are ‘a hoping and wishing for’ does come true.

OR PRAY for the strength to accept and take on board our reality — the REALITY which is NOT making our lives GOOD. but THE REALITY which our thoughts have brought about.
