7 January 2020 — Life Changes

It occurred to me today when I was panicking because I couldn’t remember where I’d left my mobile phone how our lives have changed since the days of my parents. Like so many of us I am totally lost without my phone. My parents did not even have a landline. These were available in the latter parts of their lives but they felt that as they had lived happily without a landline for a large part of their lives they could do so happily til the end. Strange, in a way because they were innovative and pleased to take on new ideas in other areas.

Mobile phones of course, are only a minor part of the new innovations we now take for granted and although I consider myself to be up to date and taking these on board there are many areas in which I depend on my grandchildren to show me the ropes.

I do, however, smile to myself as some day I see them in the same position as myself as they grow older, take on responsibilities and have less time to absorb ‘the new’. I won’t be around to see it but I smile to myself when I think of them in this position. However, for me, Reincarnation is a fact — and what we will meet in future lives is beyond my imagination!
