8 June 2020 — OPINIONS

Yesterday’s blog about Edward Colston is still drawing a lot of comments; some critical, some approving. People have been quick to point out that he was a philanthropist and there is no denying that that is a fact. In my book, however, there is such a thing as ‘dirty’ money.

Had Edward Colston not funded the institutions he did, I am sure someone else would have done.

It is notable that yesterday’s blog has attracted more attention and provoked more comments and pointed discussion than any other of my blogs. I don’t know WHY. I do welcome it. However, it is important to bear in mind that one’s opinion is simply that — one’s OPINION.

AND, the POINT OF POWER for all of us lies in the fact that we all honour others opinions and that we don’t force our own on to them.

Barbara Thorne: The Point of Power is Now

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
