8 October 2020 — LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT SO MAKE IT GOOD!
So often we blame circumstances, life, other people, our upbringing etc etc when we feel that our life — things in general — are not going the way we would like them to.
We do not consider the idea that perhaps the reason why we are not entirely happy with our lives is because deep down we believe we DO NOT DESERVE things to go well! And instead of making our lives GOOD we are attracting situations which our conscious minds would much rather not be there.
It is important, then, to tell ourselves that like everyone else WE DO DESERVE THE BEST and once we begin to believe this, the ‘night’ we have created turns into day. Of course, we all have events happen which brings us sadness but we tend to prolong the effects of these circumstances by dwelling on them, regretting and resenting them. Once something has happened the only choices we have is to either shrug our shoulders and accept it, OR to grumble to ourselves and resent it. If we choose the latter we are then making our lives unhappy. What happens to us is often out of our control but how we RESPOND TO WHAT HAS HAPPENED IS OUR CHOICE. When we are able to ‘shrug our shoulders and accept’ we have found the key to MAKING OUR LIVES GOOD.
