9 March 2021 — Oh Happy Day
….. And the reason why it’s a Happy Day is simply because someone went out of their way to visit and see if I was OK whilst keeping to the two metres distance rule. Despite the fact that it is a beautiful day LIFE is still somewhat restricted and difficult being cut off from family and friends at this time.
However, the enforced isolation does bring with it a gift if we wish to take the gift on board, and that is the gift of getting to know ourselves mores deeply and discover strengths within which we didn’t know we had such as acceptance, tolerance, forbearance, inner peace, joy etc.
There then arises the question as to why we can’t echo ‘oh happy day’ every day making the most of what life brings us rather than wishing and hoping for life to bring us something which we desire but don’t have. AND. of course. some days may be happy whilst others are sometimes ecstatic when the unexpected amazing happenings occur. But these are generally few and far apart: in the meantime we have to joyfully embrace what Life brings us.
OH HAPPY DAY!
