9 May 2022 — DETERMINATION? STUBBORNESS?

I like to think I am DETERMINED! However, some people have been known to call me STUBBORN! But I like to think of myself as STEADFASTLY DETERMINED!

‘If you think you can you will — If you think you can’t you won’t.’

But, perhaps the difference between determination and stubbornness is simply the object of the task we are determined to accomplish AND the matter over which we refuse to ‘budge an inch’.

I trust that those matters over which I am DETERMINED are positive and leave me in a better space. Contrastingly I see STUBBORNESS as refusing to move forward — to change — and a CLINGING TO THE OLD, refusing to let go of something which is stopping us moving forward.

The attitude, perhaps,’ that this is the way I’ve always done it and it has served me well! which is indeed a refusal to change and ‘go with the flow’ as the old hippy saying goes.

PONDER POINTS: On reading this I felt…my thoughts on reading this were….people I know who I’d call determined are…..people I know who I’d call stubborn are ….how I’d label myself is …..
