May 14–2019 — The Digital Age — The Suppressing of Emotions

Social Media entertains us these days. We chat and communicate, entertain ourselves through it. We nobly exercise the Right Brain Rational Hemisphere. However, as an older person it does occur to me that people today are losing their identity in that they are losing sight of what they feel and how to be truly themselves.

EMOTIONS are given no credence — no value. Except perhaps the emotion of anger which is often a result of the suppression of our emotions and rises unheeded and often unjustified.

The digital age has many advantages but what I believe would be good is a balance between the rational, head stuff and our emotions.

My writing is based on the understanding that ‘we’, (each of us individually) create our own reality through our feelings, thoughts and actions.
